![]() What Is TASH?TASH is Therapist Assisted Self Healing. The therapists' role is to assist clients in utilising their natural ability to release and relax adhered muscles, and to increase circulation to affected areas. The basic philosophy behind TASH is that each and every one of us has the ability to self heal. This is demonstrated clearly, when we cut ourselves or break a bone. Healing takes place with no conscious thought or intervention. Usually, the only intervention required is when stitches are considered necessary, to enable natural healing with minimal scaring or the setting of a fracture to allow the bone to heal naturally in the correct position or alignment. TASH therapy helps you activate valuable resources within your inner mind to relieve muscular tension that you've been struggling with for some time. We all possess the ability to self-heal and this occurs naturally, especially while we sleep. After all, why do we sleep? Because self-healing, and rejuvenation, was designed to take place, while we are at rest.
How did TASH originate?TASH therapy was developed by Colin Ifield following many years of treating clients, using the principles of deep muscle therapy (DMT). During treatments, Colin observed that many clients responded positively to a painless technique that appeared to encourage a deeper form of self-healing. This led to further research with select clients and the results were encouraging. Colin, and his partner Katherine Ferris, a PSH (Private Subconscious-mind Healing) therapist, undertook further development of the technique. It was noted that where no muscular injury had occurred, the problems were mainly due to stress and tension. Because the TASH treatment includes guided relaxation, it helps to alleviate the cause. Subsequent feedback from clients indicated that not only were they achieving physical improvement, they also reported better sleeping patterns and emotional wellbeing. Many clients now request TASH over other techniques offered.
Who will benefit from TASH?Anyone, who truly wants relief from their aches and pains, can benefit. Children particularly, respond to treatment because they have less resistance from negative influences. That is to say that they haven't become as reliant on others to cure their ailments, as most adults have become so reliant.
Results further indicate that the number of sessions required varies. This is because everyone is different in their ability to allow their sub-conscious mind to take over the job of healing. The aim is to resolve muscular adhesion and associated pain and most clients gain benefits within three to five sessions. Some clients have reported positive changes in even fewer sessions. Another benefit the client gains, from having experienced TASH, is their ability to continue to use the relaxation techniques in their on-going normal activities.
Physical pain or discomfort is often a symptom of daily stress and worry. We need only to re-learn self-healing.
