Concerned about cigarette smoking and its effects on your health? No doubt, you have already read about the many health risks associated with smoking. For instance, you probably know that cigarette smoke contains around 2000 harmful substances, toxins and chemicals. Every packet of cigarettes now carries a warning. Nevertheless, you are still finding it difficult to give up. Well, you are not alone; I was a smoker until recently. As a Hypnotherapist, having helped hundreds to quit smoking, it was embarrassing to admit that I too had a smoking problem. Thousands are still hooked and looking for a safe and permanent way to quit... Without a doubt, smoking is very addictive. Ask anyone who has tried to quit smoking, they will all say the same thing: "it is hard, if not almost impossible to quit". Smoking is one of those addictive habits that are difficult to overcome by willpower alone. Many people have stopped smoking for a short time but took it up again because they become irritable and impossible to live with. Some have tried patches and gum and found that they continued to smoke, which may not be safe or recommended because of associated side effects. Smoking, just like all habits, is a repetitive 'program' that our body/mind is running, much like a computer runs software. Our mind works almost identically to a computer; it continues to run the same programs until they are changed - hypnosis helps the inner 'programs' to change. While this inner 'smoking program' continues to run, you will continue to smoke. Hypnosis is a very effective tool to change the 'inner program'; it can help you tap into the source of the habit, the subconscious-mind, thereby helping you to quit smoking permanently. The only way to make sure the habit is gone for good is to reprogram your subconscious mind or body/mind. Devoting time to listen to the CDs regularly will help you quit. There is no better time to start on the path to becoming a non-smoker than today.
