The Importance of the Lymphatic System.

Have you ever considered why we have difficulty in talking about problems that can lead to serious illness? Such a subject is the much-dreaded breast, cervical and prostate cancer.
Treating the breasts or scrotum as anything other that just other glands or parts of the body requiring the same health considerations is, in no small way, responsible for the suffering of many people who develop abnormalities in these areas, with the risk of future cancers.
Many of us are totally unaware of our lymphatic system or the important role it plays in maintaining our health and wellbeing. Technically speaking: "The Lymphatic System consists of widely spread and structurally distinct tissues that form a sub-component of the Immune System; and also performs certain functions within the Cardiovascular System and the digestive system. The Lymphatic System filters toxins and waste products from the blood and destroys them. (Extracts from In-Tele-Healthİ 2003 from Hyperhealth CD-ROM)
Therefore the lymphatic system, amongst other things is responsible for shifting toxins from our tissues and assists our immune system.
In an article regarding breast cancer prevention, the question was posed "What would you do to reduce your risk of Breast Cancer? Would you change your clothes?" The bases of a theory presented by Sydney Ross Singer and Soma Grismaijer in their book, Dressed To Kill was that the bra, by its very design, constricts the lymph vessels responsible for removing toxins from the cells in the breast tissue. The same can be said for any tight-fitting clothing and its effects on the lymphatic system.
The link between the lymphatic system's role in washing toxins from cell tissue and the potential for cancer, is underestimated. The many cancer causing toxins that are in our environment require time in contact with individual cells to begin the mutation into cancer cells. Clothing that can prevent the circulation of lymphatic fluid, provides this extended time.
The answer to reducing the effects is lymphatic drainage massage. Too simple? Ask anyone who has availed themselves of this treatment and you will be pleasantly surprised at the results they have achieved.
